Suellen found her way to her yoga mat on the brink of becoming an empty nester, seeking stress release and breath work. With a background in competitive gymnastics through her youth and college, the yoga studio immediately felt like home. After 6 years of personal practice, she completed her 200 hour teacher training through FLY International in the rainforest of Costa Rica. She is certified to teach Vinyasa Flow Yoga and Hathaway Yoga Interdisciplinary. Additionally, Suellen is certified to teach Dynamic Yoga Barre.
With her background in dance through her gymnastics training, Suellen loves teaching Barre. The hour long, full body, cardiovascular workout has the perfect blend of yoga, strength and toning exercises using balls, bands and weights, and series of exercises at the ballet barre. Suellen also enjoys introducing Slow Flow Vinyasa Yoga to new yogis. Slow Flow focuses on holding body postures with optimal body alignment synchronized with breath work. The core of the class is based on Vinyasa Flow sequences. The result is a luxurious hour of stress reduction, inner focus, strength, balance and flexibility.
