Kendra Johnson

Finding her way to the mat for the first time in 2011, Kendra wasn’t sure if yoga was for her. She found her way back in 2014 as part of a wellness journey that didn’t involve running. Kendra practiced intermittently until 2018 when she fell into acro yoga. Through the love of that branch of yoga, she began to grow curious about the traditional practices of yoga and found her way to EssentialZen and Owl’s Nest Yoga’s 2020 teacher training, which she recently completed.

When you come to Kendra's class, you'll find a traditional vinyasa flow trending towards the Baptiste, power sequence. She brings love and laughter into every class, offering challenges for every yogi in the room. She works full time as a mental health and substance use counselor and has brought components of meditation into her therapy for several years.

Off the mat, Kendra enjoys reading, writing, spending time with family and going on walks through the forest to reconnect with nature.
